Report in two parts, the first containing geographical description of Panama, with information on the inhabitants, particularly the Indians and the French, towns and villages, food crops and cattle, rare woods, gold mines, rivers, roads, fortifications, and history of the city of Panama; work of the Dominican missionaries; pernicious influence of the French. The second part consists of a detailed record of the missionary activities of the Jesuits throughout Panama, 1744-1747, incuding copy of a diary kept while on a mission to Veragua and Chiriqui in l745 in an effort to stop Franciscan proselytizing.
